Enterprise Store Locator Software Without the Enterprise Contract
5,000 locations, proximity search, filters, indexable location pages, and a REST API — for $19/month on a published price list. No quote, no annual commitment, no implementation project.
What "enterprise" actually means for a store locator
An enterprise store locator needs six things: capacity for the whole network, fast proximity search, filters that reflect how locations differ, bulk import and update, an indexable page per location, and programmatic access for the systems that already hold your location data. Maptera does all six on a published $19/month plan covering 5,000 locations.
The mismatch that makes this category expensive
Most people searching for "enterprise store locator software" are buying a locator. Most vendors that dominate the term are selling a digital-presence suite — listings syndication, review management, business-profile governance — with a locator included as one module. Those are different products with an order of magnitude between their prices. Separating them is the entire decision.
Capacity and price, side by side
Maptera is not the capacity leader in this table and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. It is the cheapest way to run a few thousand locations on a published price, and above about five thousand locations you should be looking at someone else.
| Platform | Location ceiling | Entry price | Pricing published? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maptera | 5,000 locations (Scale plan) | Free for 10, then $9/mo | Yes — full tier list, self-serve |
| Yext | Priced per location, effectively uncapped | From $199 per location per year (reported SMB tier) | SMB tiers reported publicly; enterprise is quoted |
| Bullseye | Unlimited locations; 10,000 searches/month per plan | $89/mo (Search) | Yes — four published tiers |
| MetaLocator | 100,000 locations (Scale); traffic-capped per tier | $17/mo (Essential) | Yes — three published tiers plus custom Enterprise |
| Woosmap | API platform — usage-based, no location cap | Free tier: 10,000 API requests/mo | Free and Pro published; Enterprise is quoted |
| Locally | Not published | Quote only for brands | No — brand pricing is fully quote-gated |
Say the ceiling out loud: 5,000 locations
The Scale plan stops at 5,000 locations. There is no hidden enterprise tier behind a contact form. If your network is larger than that, Maptera cannot serve it today, and the honest recommendation is Bullseye (unlimited locations, from $89/month) or MetaLocator (100,000 locations at $167/month), both as publicly listed in August 2026. Most networks that need more than 2,000 locations fit comfortably inside 5,000.
What you are actually paying for
The gap between "a locator costs $19/month" and "a locator costs $180,000/year" is not margin. It is scope. Here is what the suite price includes, with every figure sourced and dated.
Yext's published SMB tiers
Yext's self-serve tiers are quoted per location per year, which is the single biggest structural difference from a flat monthly locator plan. Reported tiers as of August 2026: Emerging $199, Essential $449, Complete $499, and Premium $999 — each per location, per year. A fifteen-location chain on Premium therefore pays roughly 15 × $999 = $14,985 per year for what a locator platform charges a flat monthly fee for.
The numbers Yext does not publish
Enterprise pricing is negotiated, so the only reliable figures come from third-party contract databases. These are modelled averages from anonymised buyer data, not vendor rate cards, and should be read as ranges rather than quotes:
- Vendr reports a median annual contract value of $318,204, across a range of $23,767 to $534,000, and models mid-market deployments of 10–100 locations at $25,000–$150,000 per year.
- Spendhound, using 160 real customer contracts, reports an average of $30,916/year for companies of 50–1,000 employees and $176,730/year for companies above 1,000.
- Implementation is a separate line. Vendr models onboarding at $2,000–$20,000 or more depending on complexity; ITQlick puts enterprise implementation, customisation, training, and migration at $50,000–$200,000.
Contract mechanics, which cost more than people budget for
Enterprise agreements in this category typically renew automatically each year with a built-in price escalator. Vendr puts the typical escalator at 3–7% annually unless it is negotiated flat or capped. Compounded over a three-year term on a six-figure contract, the escalator alone is a material number, and it is the clause most often left unnegotiated. Buyer sentiment reflects the friction: Yext holds a 1.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot across 345 reviews as of August 2026, rated "Poor". For contrast, the same vendor holds 4.4 out of 5 on G2 across roughly 1,000 reviews — the two audiences are measuring different things, and both are worth reading before signing.
Maptera has no equivalent mechanics to disclose, because there is nothing to disclose: $19/month, monthly billing, cancel in the dashboard.

When to buy Yext instead
There is a real answer here, and pretending otherwise would make everything above less credible. Buy the suite, not the locator, if any of these describe your actual problem:
Yext is the right call if
- Your business data is wrong or inconsistent across Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp and dozens of directories, and fixing it centrally is the project
- You need review monitoring and response workflows across hundreds of locations
- Franchisees edit their own Google Business Profiles and you need governance and approval over that
- You need one platform of record that marketing, legal, and local operations all work inside
Maptera is the right call if
- You need a fast, filterable locator on your own website and nothing else
- Your directory listings are already handled, or are not the bottleneck
- You want a published price you can approve without a procurement cycle
- You want to test the thing on real data before anyone signs anything
What Maptera does not do, stated plainly: no listings syndication, no review management, no Google Business Profile governance, no white-label or custom locator domain, and no real-time inventory. Those are not gaps we are working to close — they are a different product.
Migrating an existing locator
- Export from the incumbent as CSV. Every platform in this category supports a location export; on quote-gated platforms it is usually in the admin under locations or data.
- Import the CSV into Maptera. Name, address, hours, phone, and any category or filter columns come across in one pass.
- Geocode. Addresses resolve to coordinates automatically. You can dry run this on your real file first with the free CSV geocoder.
- Embed. Install the native Shopify or Wix app, or paste the universal embed on any other platform.
- Redirect the old location pages. Map the incumbent's per-location URLs to the new ones with 301s so the local rankings transfer rather than reset.
Feeding locations from an existing system instead of a spreadsheet? The store locator REST API is included on Scale.
The whole price list
| Plan | Price | Locations | REST API |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 forever | 10 | No |
| Starter | $9/month | 100 | No |
| Growth | $15/month | 2,000 | No |
| Scale | $19/month | 5,000 | Yes |
Every competitor's published tiers are collected in store locator software pricing compared, and the sourced Yext cost breakdown lives in Yext store locator pricing. Which vendors will sell to you without a call at all is covered in store locator software with published pricing. For a neutral head-to-head between the two platforms most often shortlisted here, see Yext vs Bullseye; if your team would rather build the interface than install one, Maptera vs Woosmap covers the API-platform route.
Growth covers 2,000 locations at $15/month, which suits most franchise systems. See pricing for what each tier includes, or store locator software for multi-location retail and franchise store locators for the vertical view.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a contract or annual commitment?
No. Every Maptera plan is month-to-month at a published price, and you can cancel from the dashboard. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial, and the Free plan needs no card at all. There is no procurement cycle, no order form, and no auto-renewal clause.
What happens if we have more than 5,000 locations?
Then Maptera is not the right tool today, and it is better to say so than to sell you a plan that will not fit. 5,000 locations on the Scale plan is the current ceiling. Above that, Bullseye advertises unlimited locations from $89/month and MetaLocator publishes a 100,000-location tier at $167/month, both as of August 2026. Get in touch before assuming — many networks that describe themselves as "thousands of locations" turn out to have well under five thousand distinct addresses once franchise duplicates and closed sites are removed.
Does the API cost extra?
No. REST API access is included in the Scale plan at $19/month — there is no separate API licence, no per-call fee, and no minimum commit. It is not available on Free, Starter, or Growth.
Can we remove Maptera branding?
Yes, from the Starter plan ($9/month) upward. To be precise about what that means: the "Powered by Maptera" credit is removed from the widget. It is not a white-label or reseller programme, and Maptera does not offer custom domains for the locator.
Do you do listings management like Yext?
No, and it is not on the roadmap. Maptera puts a searchable locator and indexable location pages on your own website. It does not push your business data out to Google Business Profile, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, and hundreds of directories, and it does not manage reviews. If cross-directory presence is the actual problem you are solving, buy a listings platform — that is what Yext is genuinely good at.
How long does implementation take?
Hours, not quarters. Export your current locations to CSV, import them, let the geocoder resolve addresses to coordinates, then install the native Shopify or Wix app or paste the universal embed. There is no onboarding engagement to schedule and no professional-services line item.
What does enterprise store locator software normally cost?
It depends almost entirely on whether the locator is sold on its own or bundled into a digital-presence suite. Pure locator platforms publish real numbers: Maptera runs 5,000 locations at $19/month, Bullseye starts at $89/month, MetaLocator at $17/month. Suite pricing is a different order of magnitude — third-party contract data from Vendr and Spendhound puts typical annual Yext spend in the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars, before implementation. Both numbers are real; they are just buying different things.
