How long is the free trial?
Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. You get full access to Starter, Growth, or Scale features for 14 days so you can build your store locator, embed it, and watch real customers use it before you decide. If a smaller, permanently free plan is enough, you can stay on Free forever with no trial clock at all.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You can create a Maptera account and launch a locator on the Free plan without entering any payment details. Starter, Growth, and Scale trials also start without requiring a card up front, so there is zero risk in trying the full feature set.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees. You can cancel or downgrade whenever you like from your dashboard, and your locator keeps working on the Free plan limits. If you cancel during a trial, you are never charged.
What counts as a "location"?
A location is a single physical address (store, branch, dealer, pickup point, food-truck stop, or service area) that appears as a pin on your map. Free includes up to 10 locations, Starter supports 100, Growth supports 2,000, and Scale supports 5,000. You can add, edit, and remove locations as often as you need — only the number live on your map at once counts toward the limit.
Do I need Shopify or Wix to use Maptera?
No. Maptera works on any website. We offer one-click install apps for Shopify and Wix, but you can also drop a single embed snippet into WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, a custom site, or use the REST API to build something fully bespoke. Pick whichever install path fits your stack.
