Comparison

Maptera vs Bullseye

Both publish their prices, which makes this a rare honest comparison in the enterprise locator market. The real question is whether you need a dealer-network platform or a locator.

The verdict, up front

Choose Maptera

if you have up to 5,000 locations and want the locator itself as cheaply and quickly as possible — including a free tier to test on, native Shopify and Wix apps, SEO location pages on every plan, and the API at $19/month.

Choose Bullseye

if you run a dealer or franchise network above 5,000 locations, need assigned-territory search rather than plain radius search, or want lead-capture forms and CRM routing built into the locator.

The two price ladders

Bullseye and Maptera both publish full tier lists, so this comparison does not depend on anyone's sales quote. What differs is the shape of the ladder.

Maptera

  • Free$0, 10 locations
  • Starter$9/mo, 100 locations, branding removed
  • Growth$15/mo, 2,000 locations
  • Scale$19/mo, 5,000 locations, REST API

SEO location pages are included on every tier, including Free.

Bullseye

  • Search — $89/mo, unlimited locations, 2 embeddable locators, 2 category filters
  • Find — $225/mo, multi-country, advanced filtering, territory search, REST API
  • Connect — $1,250/mo (or $15,000/yr), lead capture, form builder, local/city pages, CRM integration
  • Optimize — $5,500/mo (or $66,000/yr), managed local-SEO service and dedicated support

All tiers include up to 10,000 searches per month.

The step that matters most

Bullseye's ladder has a large gap between Find ($225/mo) and Connect ($1,250/mo), and local landing pages sit on the far side of it. If per-location landing pages are part of why you are buying a locator at all, that single feature moves you from $225 to $1,250 a month at Bullseye, and is included on every Maptera plan including Free. Conversely, if you need territory-based routing or lead capture, Bullseye has features Maptera simply does not.

Where Bullseye is genuinely the better buy

  • Above 5,000 locations. Bullseye advertises unlimited locations on every published tier; Maptera stops at 5,000. There is no hidden Maptera enterprise tier behind a contact form.
  • Assigned-territory search. Dealer and franchise systems that route by territory rather than by radius need Bullseye Find; Maptera does proximity search with category filters, which is a different model.
  • Lead capture and CRM routing inside the locator. That is Bullseye Connect. Maptera hands off to your own forms and CRM instead.
  • A managed local-SEO engagement. Bullseye Optimize is a service, not software. Maptera has no equivalent and does not intend to.

High search volume is worth checking in both directions: Bullseye caps published plans at 10,000 searches per month, which a busy national locator can exceed. Maptera publishes no search cap on its plans.

Migrating from Bullseye to Maptera

Export your locations as a CSV, import them into Maptera, and let the geocoder resolve addresses to coordinates. Then install the native Shopify or Wix app, or paste the universal embed. If you were on Connect and had local landing pages, 301-redirect them to the new Maptera location pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Maptera cheaper than Bullseye?

Substantially, at the tiers most buyers actually need. Bullseye's entry plan is $89/month as of August 2026; Maptera is $0 for 10 locations and $9/month for 100. The gap widens on API access: Bullseye puts the REST API on its Find tier at $225/month, while Maptera includes it on Scale at $19/month. Local landing pages are a $1,250/month Connect-tier feature at Bullseye and are generated automatically on every Maptera plan.

Does Bullseye support more locations than Maptera?

Yes, and this is the clearest case for choosing Bullseye. Bullseye advertises unlimited locations on all published tiers, capped instead by search volume at 10,000 searches per month per plan. Maptera's ceiling is 5,000 locations on the Scale plan, with no published search cap. If your network is genuinely above 5,000 distinct addresses, Bullseye is the better fit and we would rather say so here than after you have signed up.

What does Bullseye do that Maptera does not?

Three things worth naming. Territory search on the Find tier, which matters for dealer and franchise systems with assigned coverage areas rather than pure radius logic. Lead-capture forms and CRM integration on the Connect tier. And Optimize, a managed local-SEO service tier at $5,500/month, which is a services engagement rather than software and has no Maptera equivalent. Figures as of August 2026.

What does Maptera do that Bullseye does not?

A genuine free plan rather than a trial, native Shopify and Wix apps you install from inside those platforms, auto-generated SEO location pages on every tier including Free, and a REST API at $19/month rather than $225/month. Maptera is also month-to-month with no minimum term.

Can I move my locations from Bullseye to Maptera?

Yes. Export your locations as a CSV from Bullseye, import the file into Maptera, and let the geocoder resolve the addresses. Then install the native Shopify or Wix app or paste the universal embed. If Bullseye was generating local landing pages for you, 301-redirect those URLs to the new Maptera location pages so the rankings transfer.
