Google connection privacy
Maptera is operated by Switch Labs LC. This notice explains our Google Business Profile connection and supplements the Switch Labs Privacy Policy.
What you authorize
A workspace owner or administrator can connect a Google account they own or are authorized to use. Google provides your account identifier and email address, access credentials, and access to the business accounts and profiles you manage. Profile data includes business names, websites, phone numbers, addresses, and hours when returned by Google.
Google calls the Business Profile permission “See, edit, create and delete your Google business listings.” The current Maptera connection uses it only to read accounts and profiles. Listing edits and publication are not enabled.
How we use and protect it
We use this data to identify your connection, show authorized business accounts and profiles within your Maptera workspace, and maintain that connection. Workspace members can view connected account information; owners and administrators control connections according to their role. We encrypt saved access and refresh credentials on the server. Credentials are not sent to the browser.
Our hosting and database services process data to operate Maptera. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.
Maptera’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Disconnecting and deletion
An authorized administrator can disconnect a connection in Google profiles. This removes the saved access and refresh credentials for that workspace and stops its access. It does not delete public Google listings or revoke other connections using the same Google project. You can also remove access in your Google Account’s third-party connections settings.
Connection history, including the connected email and business account names, can remain after disconnecting. Contact eric@switchlabs.dev to request deletion of retained Google connection data or ask a privacy question.
