Fix store locations that show in the wrong place
Troubleshooting steps when a store appears at 0,0 or in the wrong country.

If a store shows up in the middle of the ocean, in a random country, or in completely the wrong city, geocoding has failed for that record. Here is how to fix it.
Most common causes
- Missing or wrong country code (use US, not USA — two-letter ISO codes only)
- PO Box addresses (these are not real geographic locations and cannot be mapped)
- Typos in the street name or city
- Suite or apartment numbers crammed into the street field
- Country mismatch — the postal code is in country A but the country field says B
How to fix one store
- 1Open the store recordGo to Stores → click the store → Edit.
- 2Verify each address fieldLook at street, city, state, postal code, and country individually. A typo in any one of them can move the location hundreds of miles.
- 3SaveSaving triggers a re-geocode automatically. Refresh the map to confirm the location moved.
- 4Manual overrideIf geocoding still fails, look up the location on Google Maps, copy the latitude and longitude, and paste them into the manual coordinate fields.
If many of your imported stores have bad coordinates, the issue is usually in the source CSV. Fix the spreadsheet and re-import rather than editing each store one by one.
