Troubleshoot the Maptera Shopify app

Fixes for common issues with the Shopify integration.

The widget block does not appear in the theme editor

You are likely on Shopify 1.0 (legacy themes). The block-based theme editor is only available on Shopify 2.0 themes (Dawn and most modern themes). Either upgrade your theme or use the manual HTML embed instead.

I get a 404 when I try to open the Maptera app

Uninstall and reinstall the app from the Shopify App Store. This typically happens after a Shopify session expires unexpectedly.

"Authentication failed" error after install

Clear your browser cache for the Shopify admin domain and try again. If that does not help, contact us with your Shopify store URL — we can manually re-issue the OAuth grant.

Locations are missing after install

Only "Active" Shopify locations are imported. Inactive locations are skipped. Activate them in Shopify, then click Re-sync in the Maptera app.
