Sync Shopify locations into Maptera

How Shopify location data flows into your Maptera store list.

Last updated April 27, 2026

When you install the Maptera Shopify app, your existing Shopify locations are imported automatically. After that, edits in either system stay in sync.

What gets synced

  • Location name and address
  • Phone and email (when set in Shopify)
  • Active/inactive status
  • New locations you create in Shopify after install

What does not sync

  • Photos (upload them in Maptera — Shopify locations do not have a photo field)
  • Categories (you set these in Maptera)
  • Hours (Shopify does not store per-location hours; set them in Maptera)
  • Custom fields (Maptera-only data stays in Maptera)

Forcing a re-sync

If you suspect locations are out of sync, go to the Maptera app inside Shopify and click "Re-sync locations". This rebuilds the mapping in under a minute.
